BIKE RACKS IN A VAN

side view of bike stands in vanThese photos show you how to protect your bike from damage when transporting it in a van.

Now whatever you can do in the back of a ute, you can do better in the back of a van. Used as a wheel chock, and bike rack can hold your bike upright in the back of your van and protect it from damage. In these pictures you can see that a three bike stand was installed in an old Transit Van and tied into position (as it wont just stand happily in place whilst you are driving around town). Tie Down or Elastic Straps are most commonly used and available at Hardware or Auto Accessories stores.

Best of all, if you carry the bike upright in your van you still have space for all your other belongings and if you need to leave the bike in the van you dont have to worry about security as you can just lock it inside. Carrying your bike on a rear car mount carrier does not give you this advantage.
